History of the Violin
Georges Apparut (1877-1948) began his apprenticeship at the age of 14 in his father’s workshop, later working for Paul Blanchard, Georges Mougenot, Marc Laberte, and Joseph Charotte. A skilled copyist of antique instruments, he earned numerous honors and awards, including gold and silver medals at various international exhibitions.
This example, made for Emile L’Humbert and bearing L’Humbert’s brandstamp, has a broad, powerful sound and is remarkably easy to play. Suitable for an advancing student or professional beginning their career. It is accompanied by a certificate from Hughes Paumier.
