Italian Violin by Pietro Messori, Modena, c1897

Pietro Messori studied under Giuseppe Sgarbi starting in 1893. He worked for Fiorini in Munich before returning to Modena. He received numerous medals and honors in Milan, Paris, Turin, St Louis (USA), and Geneva. His work featured Stradivari, Guarneri, and Amati models, showcasing good workmanship and a red to golden-yellow amber varnish.

This violin is an exceptional example with a very full, projecting solo sound. A Certificate of Authenticity from Eric Blot, Cremona Italy from 2021.
